The first strategy is to go to bi-weekly payments. Even though you are paying the same amount to your lender each month with monthly payments you make 12 payments a year. By paying one half the amount every other week, you are making 26 half payments or 13 full payments a year. That is an extra payment a year. On a 30 year mortgage of $100,000 at 10% you would payoff your in just over 20 years. That is an interest savings of $73,000. Wow. That’s a lot of money.
There is now a program where you can pay off your mortgage, or any other debt, in five years or less just by referring others to the program.
